“SEE ME AS A PERSON”: A PATH TO PROVIDING CULTURALLY CONGRUENT CARE

This live, in-person event will provide nurses and other healthcare professionals with knowledge on how to provide culturally congruent care to diverse populations with a focus on the health care of the LGBTQ+ population. Attendees will hear from four dynamic health care experts who will not only share their expertise but will help nurses understand and recognize  health care barriers affecting the LGBTQ+ population including implicit bias and the impact these variables have on patient care outcomes. Nurses and other healthcare professionals will also be equipped with knowledge related to holistic nursing and the event will conclude with a self-care session for healthcare professionals; a great ending to a great afternoon!
